Windows helper

Run the StoneEngine helper on Windows 11 using WSL 2.

This first Windows build is a preview awaiting testing on a Windows PC. The installer is unsigned, so Windows may show an unknown-publisher warning.

Requirements

• Windows 11 on an Intel or AMD 64-bit PC.
• An NVIDIA GPU with Windows driver 580 or newer.
• At least 20 GB of free disk space and an internet connection for several GB of downloads.

Setup

1. Run the downloaded installer normally, without choosing “Run as administrator.” It creates a separate StoneEngine WSL environment. Windows may ask for administrator permission to enable WSL and require a restart. After restarting, open StoneEngine Helper from the Start menu to continue.
2. Register or sign in, then add your computer. Save the device token, which is shown only once.
3. Enter the device token when setup asks. Setup finds the helper name automatically. The token stays inside the Linux environment.
4. Open StoneEngine Helper from the Start menu. Its window has the usual pause and stop controls.

Setup uses your Windows NVIDIA driver; do not install a Linux NVIDIA driver inside WSL. Other WSL environments are kept separate. Uninstalling lets you keep or remove the StoneEngine Linux data.
